You should place any absorbent materials either inside airtight boxes, such as the ‘Really Useful’ range or if large, such as a sofa or bed inside plastic covers. It’s also a good idea to place ‘Damp Traps’ inside the unit. These can be purchased from Asda and homeware stores.
Try to leave some space between goods to facilitate air-flow and always keep clear of the vents located near the ceiling.
If you walk water in, or bring anything damp inside, such as garden furniture it’s a good idea to keep and eye on any damp traps you are using, and replace these as they fill. Opening up the doors on a dry day will help bring moisture levels inside your unit down.
